Domestic Violence is an evil that kills, steals and destroys, creating an atmosphere of fear, shame and discouragement, affecting every member of the family involved.   Children who witness violence in their home are distressed in similar ways as children who are physically abused, displaying anxiety, low self-esteem, shame, guilt, helplessness and for some, even worse hopelessness.

I once heard someone say that we are the sum total of all we’ve ever experienced, that our life experiences create how we think, negative or positive, and in essence that way of thinking ultimately shapes who we become.  There was a time, when I would have taken that statement as truth until I discovered that God had a plan for my life.   I became curious and determined to experience that “good and perfect” plan.  But first, I had to change my way of thinking, for that, I needed to look back over what I’ve experienced, to discover the source of my negative thoughts, so I took a journey.
